0 - 2 1/2 YEARS OLD

 In the Starfish Room, we believe that every moment counts as the early years are the most crucial years for a child. We see learning and development as a rapid and an exciting process for children. We want all children to establish a strong sense of safety, recognition and curiosity and to provide them with the love and interactions that every child needs.
In the Starfish room, we like to make the transitioning process as easy as possible for the children and families. A way in which we practice this, is through following their home routines.
In the Starfish room, we cater for the developmental and learning needs of children aged between 6 weeks to 2 and a half years. Our program is filled with activities that encourage and bring out children’s independence, providing children with meaningful experiences and we have a strong focus on interest-led play. We also encourage parent input and love to create our program to include all aspects of their daily lives. 

2 1/2 - 5 YEARS OLD

The Turtle room caters for children aged 2.5-5 years old. Our program within the room is based on the children's interests and we focus on activities and experiences that are based on literacy, mathematics, self help skills, problem solving, fine motor and gross motor skills. We also incorporate many STEM based experiences into our daily program. We create meaningful experiences that are engaging to all the children. Our outdoor play area allows the children to explore and develop their physical skills through experiences that promote their holistic development.

Our school readiness program focuses on developing children's fine motor skills, gross motor skills, self care skills, writing readiness and phonological awareness. We incorporate this into our daily routine through focusing on letter-sound relationships in our group times, having the children complete their school readiness booklets based on the letter of the week and by encouraging children to develop independence in the daily tasks.
